Another one bites the dust ...

One more weekend gone. 

Friday was Avery Boyce's first birthday!  Mom's birthday and my aunt's birthday, too!  Made the trip into tri-cities to get some gifts for weddings, birthdays and to get some things done with Eryn's flower girl dress for Millie's upcoming wedding. 

 Oh yeah - and to see Avery eat her first birthday cake!

Saturday was a day full of driving.  We left around 8:30 and drove over to Mulkiteo and took the ferry to Whidbey Island for my cousin, Isaac's wedding.  It took a little over four hours to get there.  The wedding was beautiful - great scenery! 

 We got poured on while eating (under tents - thank God), and then the skies did eventually clear up and the sun was peaking through.    

Eryn made a new friend, Luke. 

 He was the three-year-old ring bearer in the wedding.  They were inseperable for the most part. 

It was pretty cute. 

Except for the times when Eryn thought it was okay to body slam or tackle him. 

Lewis had a pretty good time - just two fits.

 The cake was awesome - designed by someone on the island.

And it wouldn't be complete without some toddler booty shaking!

It took a little longer to get back because of Seattle weather and some minor traffic, and we had to stop several times to find something to eat or drink so we didn't fall asleep while driving.

I woke up today and am sick as ever - again. Yuck!

Big Weekend

So, Thursday night, I got whatever Eryn had the last week and-a-half, and it sucks.  I woke up with a temp of 101.  But I had to fight through it because Saturday I was heading over to Seattle for my cousin Millie's Bachelorette party.  FUN!
  I got to Seattle around 11:30 a.m. to go to the Cougar Gridiron Classic with Millie and her friend/coworker, Adam.  I helped them with their booth a little bit, since that's how I got the tickets.  She works with a sports company that organizes some on-the-side games for Gonzaga and WSU.  They were promoting their Cougar Hardwood Classic basketball game for December 22 in Seattle agains LSU.  Cool posters, too!  The Cougs did not have a good game, they were couging it :(  

So we left at halftime and tried to go to a couple bars around Quest Stadium.  They were way too packed, so we walked a couple miles back to our hotel.  Yay!!  And there we orderd chinese food and got ready to go to a Drag show.  The show was awesome!  One of the funniest and most shocking things I've ever seen.  Good times!  There were 15 of us there surrounded by very colorful people.

  After the show was over, we walked too far in heels on the streets of Seattle to go to a dance club called Neighbors - that's where all the switch hitters go (if you know what I mean).  Then Tera, Millie and I took a cab back to the hotel and that was that. 
  Got up this morning and made the journey back home to Mattawa.  There was a little bit of a hold up between Northbend and CleElum because of a one-car accident.  There were several police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks - there were only two people and they were both fine.  At least that's what it seemed like from the sidelines.

And here I am.  Made it home to see my kids, and wait for Derick to get done working.

Labor Day Weekend

Had a pretty relaxing weekend.  Saturday I hung out at home with Lewis while Derick took Eryn into Tri-cities to go shopping for camping food.  We never made it to the camping part, but we did pitch a tent in our yard on Sunday.  Had a good time at Bob and Andrea's, ate some good grub, and came home to camp out.  It wasn't exactly your typical camping experience.  Derick drug an extension cord out so Eryn could watch movies on my laptop.  But like most camping outings go, we were up before the sun came up, and it was pretty cold. 
I cleaned most of the house on Monday.  It's always a good time for me when I get to do some serious cleaning and organizing.  I enjoy having things in their places.  Made a real meal in the first time for like a week Monday evening and then Andrea and Bob came over for S'Mores. 
All-in-all.  A pretty good weekend.
